The Poseidon process sails a barge along the surface of the water to tow the necessary equipment for the opening of the trench on the riverbed, using a track-mounted carrier with a vibrating ploughshare or trenching wheel.
It is an environmentally friendly solution that allows a simultaneous mechanical laying of cables or ducts whilst ensuring the natural restoration of the riverbed.
More about the Poseidon process:
- Allows a cutting depth of up to 1110mm for the cutting wheel and 1300mm depth with a vibrating ploughshare
- Has a cutting width of up to 250mm using the cutting wheel and 90mm width with a vibrating ploughshare.
